Hello Freeskiers!
This is our last weekend before comps start! Woohoo! Let's see everyone work on fluidity though the different sections without stopping on the crux parts of the trails. Start linking up our turns and our features. Let's start getting in the mindset of picking our line for comps!
We will have normal training times with our normal groups this weekend 9:30am-2pm
>Blue Pod: H.S. Boys: Brian Lyster will be coaching on Sunday for you all. Those of you that want to do the Rail Jam on Saturday, good luck & have fun! Those that want to train reach out to me and you can either join the Pink or Purple pods for the day. All other pods will have their normal coaching

Roots & Rails Jam
Happening on Saturday 1/17. Registration in the Sterling/Madonna Base Lodge at the Bear Den 8:30-10am. Birch Run Park- First Run 10:30, Second Run 11:30, Awards 1pm on the Stash Deck outside of the lodge.
Eastern Freeride Ripping Ladies
Saturday 1/17: 6-7:30pm at Elevate Movement Collective in Stowe, VT! This is a coach led session and space will be limited. This series is for all IFSA Rippin’ Ladies (ages 7+), snowboarders and skiers! Sign Up here! We can caravan over as a group if there is interest in going. Let us know if you sign up!

Registrations:
A quick reminder that Juan the Eastern Regional Director is in charge of all 2* registrations. If you need to change your entry for any reason he is the one to help you out. IFSA is in charge of all 3* registrations, if you need help with any of those for any reason, let Juan and IFSA know and they can help you out. Juan leaves today to Judge at the Junior World Championships, so his responses may take some time to get back to you.
>MRG 2*- is reopened but it's looking like a waitlist only. Here is the Event Guide for the comp, I know they haven't filled anything out yet but this is where most info will be.
>Sugarbush 2*- Is closed- we are a week out!
>Jay 2*- Open for waitlist only and coaches- will probably close soon!
>Jay Friendly- Need to call the Ski and Ride School Desk at Jay to register- (802) 327-2329 .+1 802-327-2329 via Google Voice"> Please let us know if you are signing up for this event so that we know how many coaches we will need. Thanks! If you haven't registered yet please do so ASAP!
>Stowe 2*- looking like waitlist and coaches at this point
>Smuggs 2*- reopen for waitlist and coaches only.
>Smuggs 3*- Still open, entry is 100% based on seeding points. Will confirm the last 10% of athletes 2 weeks before comp.
>Sunday River 2*- Will open on Saturday 1/17 at 6pm. We WILL NOT be supporting this comp with coaches. If we use the weather day at the Smuggs 3*, it will be the very next day. Reach out to me if you are really considering this for you/your athlete.
>MRG 3*- Still open, entry is 100% based on seeding points. They will confirm the last 10% 2 weeks before the comp.

TBar Challenge:
This weekend I want every pod to come up with 2 countries that they want to compete for the TBar challenge.

This year, a portion of proceeds will support Vermont Adaptive whose mission is helping youth build confidence and independence through adaptive winter sports, which closely aligns with our mission.
